Peconic Land Trust will host its 13th Annual “Through Farms and Fields” country supper benefit on August 2, 2015. This year the event will honor the conservation efforts of Russell C. McCall — and you’re invited.

“Farms and Fields” celebrates the bounty of the East End, from the produce of our local farms and vineyards to the fish and seafood that comes from our waters. This year’s Master of Ceremonies will be chef and TV host George Hirsch. It will be the first time that the event is being held on the North Fork at McCall Vineyards and Ranch in Cutchogue. (more…)

If you watch the popular Food Network contest show “Chopped,” you’ll have a local chef to root for in an episode airing next month.

Just a swirl of McCall’s 2007 pinot noir hitting your nose is proof Russ McCall has more of one special thing than the rest of us: patience.

Mr. McCall planted the first vines on his Cutchogue farm more than 14 years ago. But it was only in 2007 that he labeled his first bottle of wine with the McCall brand. (more…)
