Saturday, Sept. 15, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Snapper tournament at Ammann Park, Riverhead riverfront. All ages may fish and raise money to benefit Riverhead Recreation Department’s scholarship fund. Prizes: rod and reel for first place winner in each division, trophies to top three finishers in a each division. Chinese auction will follow the tournament. Fee: $13 adults; $7 children. With temperatures in the mid-50s for the first time this decade – or so it feels — Saturday was a great day to spend on the Peconic Riverfront Saturday.
And with the farmer’s market open, lots of people did.
