Sunday, Sept. 9, 8 a.m.: 5K family walk-run to benefit Eastern Long Island Hospital, Orient Beach State Park, 40000 Main Road. Prizes awarded. Check in: 7:15-7:45 a.m. 8 a.m.: 5K walk/run; 8:30 a.m.: 1/2-mile kids fun run. Raffles, refreshments, kids’ activities; medals for all kids. Proceeds will benefit the hospital’s behavioral health services, Quannacut inpatient and outpatient addiction programs and the inpatient adult psychiatry program.
