DESCRIPTION: Explore watercolor painting in the beautiful Landcraft Garden, taking inspiration from individual plants and the lush natural environment. Wendy Prellwitz will review basic watercolor techniques, how to use materials & tools, and color mixing, The day begins with a plant form still life and moves on to vignette views working out in the garden. Some familiarity with watercolor is helpful, but not required, as all levels of experience are welcome.
AGE: For Adult Audiences
WEATHER: Rain or shine. If rain, workshop will be held in the glass greenhouse.
SPECIAL NOTES: Morning coffee, light snacks, and a boxed lunch to be provided. All levels of watercolor ability are welcome, however some experience with watercolor medium and drawing will be helpful. Please bring what you’ll need to work comfortably outside in the garden, in sun or shade, and either a portable folding stool or chair and small folding table or outdoor easel. Don’t forget a hat, sun protection, bug spray, water bottle, and paper towels.
MATERIALS: Bring whatever watercolor paints you have – no need to buy more if you have a good selection. You will be emailed a list of suggested materials after you register for the workshop.
