About
The Surfrider Foundation Eastern Long Island Chapter works on the twin forks of Long Island, testing water quality, hosting beach cleanups, and advocating for our environment.
Many people meet us and ask, “How can I get more involved?” These core volunteer trainings will spell out specific volunteer roles and opportunities with our chapter. The goal is for volunteers to leave feeling knowledgable about who Surfrider Foundation is and what we do, and confident in their ability to speak about Surfrider. We want trained volunteers to feel empowered as a Surfrider ambassador and stoked to contribute to the health of our ocean, waves and beaches. These trainings will also provide us with a pool of volunteers to call upon when a need exists.
Join us on Wednesday, March 23rd at the Hallock State Park Preserve from 5:30-7:30pm to learn how you can become one of our volunteers. Registration is required and available on a first come, first served basis. Sign up here!
