Outreach Educator Erika Haberkorn from Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons in Jamesport will offer an informative presentation on the lawn at Landcraft Garden Foundation. She will discuss native terrestrial and aquatic turtle of Long Island, their habitats, and natural history. She will provide helpful tips on how to
protect wild turtles from injury and suggest ways to enhance your backyard for long-term survival and reproduction of turtles.
Erika will bring along two live turtles from rehabilitation and guests will have the opportunity to get a closer look at their anatomy.
Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons has rehabilitated more than 1500 turtles who were injured or in need of medication.
Families with children encouraged to attend.
