About

Creating a “living shoreline” is critical to stabilizing erosion of our beaches and waterfront, an all-too-common occurrence due to the impact of climate change. Join the Peconic Land Trust for a conversation with three experts to hear the story of their successful partnership to secure several local beaches. Panelists include Elizabeth Hornstein, State Coordinator for Peconic Estuary Partnership, Steve Schott, Marine Botany/Habitat Restoration Specialist at Cornell Cooperative Extension, and Matt Swain, Stewardship Director at the Peconic Land Trust. Our panel will be moderated by Dr. Kathleen Fallon, Coastal Processes and Hazards Specialist with NY Sea Grant. Please register on Zoom.
