The talking stick was a symbolic object of respect used in a group setting to share ideas and stories! Participants will use north fork driftwood, beads, feathers and pigment to decorate their personalized creation. A Native American display of art and musical instruments will be shared with the class for inspiration. To conclude, students can hold up their talking sticks to share words of appreciation and ways to help our mother earth!
