About

New York-based musician and philanthropist Raymond Castronovo – frontman for the band, Streetwise – announces his third benefit concert, Voices of Strength, taking place Friday, June 26, 2026 at the historic Suffolk Theater in Riverhead, NY. Starting at 7:30 p.m., the evening will open with The American Bombshells, followed by a headline performance from Castronovo including new music from his forthcoming Love Street EP. The evening will also feature powerhouse vocalist Ada Dyer, best known for her live performances with Chaka Khan, Roberta Flack, Lenny Kravitz, Boz Scaggs, U2, Cher, Sting and currently on tour with Bruce Springsteen.

Building on the success of his previous benefit concerts—which raised over $50,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in 2022 and $40,000 for New Ground in 2024—Castronovo continues to harness music as a force for impact. All net proceeds from Voices of Strength will benefit The Retreat, an organization providing shelter and vital services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Raised in an Italian-American family in Brooklyn alongside his brothers and sister, Castronovo developed an early sense of responsibility and protection for others. That instinct continues to guide his work today. Now a father and grandfather, he feels a deepened commitment to supporting survivors. “I learned about The Retreat through a friend and immediately felt called to support their mission,” he shared.

“We are thrilled to partner with Raymond for this meaningful event,” said Executive Director Cate Carbonaro. “Music is both connective and healing—it’s a powerful way to raise awareness and critical funds for this work.”
