Enjoy songs from the 30s through the 70s; as Rhonda Denet Lipscomb and
her trio performs a musical journey from the era when the “First Lady Of Song,”
Ella Fitzgerald graced the stage to when the “Queen of Soul,” Aretha Franklin
ruled the airways. In addition to Ella and Aretha, this showcase pays
tribute to Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Nancy Wilson, Etta James, Martha &
The Vandellas, Mary Wells and Gladys Knight.
Please note that weather permitting, this event will be taking place on the
library’s Greenspace. Please bring a lawn chair and dress for the
weather. In the event of inclement weather, this performance will take
place in the library’s meeting room.
