The North Fork Environmental Council in collaboaration with the Riverhead Parks & Recreation Dept. is sponsoring the first Repair Café in Riverhead! A Repair Café is a place where neighbors come together to share in repair. Some bring broken, loved, or still useful objects, and others come with the tools and skills to fix them. It’s an opportunity for different generations to mingle, people to learn “how to” and “hands on” skills that have been lost, prized possesions are preserved, and people may discover new ideas. All while less waste ends up in our landfills.
