About

Riverhead takes the lead on Creative Placemaking on Long Island with a spectacular “light art” installation of immersive reflective art and sculpture along the Peconic River in Downtown Riverhead. Reflextions returns to Grangebel Park for another evening of wonder on Saturday, June 19th with additional events on July 17th, August 14th. September 25th will feature an authentic Oktoberfest from 4-8, a first for Reflextions!

The popup installation is a walkable gallery through various forms of light art – sculptures incorporating LED lights, reflective materials, luminescents and fire along with a walk through a black light mural. Admission to the outdoor gallery is free and available all day on Saturday, June 19th with illumination at dusk from 7p to 10p.

This year’s exhibit will include new installations featuring a 30 foot submarine along with a few new surprises. Reflextions will feature live entertainment at each event.

Reflextions is hosted by the Riverhead Business Improvement District and made possible with public funding from Suffolk County and grants from I LOVE NY, Discover Long Island and East End Tourism Alliance.
