The North Fork of Long Island is famous for its delectable fare. Here, the tradition of farming has continued and expanded. Now it’s taken on yet another life as artisans have begun to produce distinctive foods and explore methods of sustainable agriculture.

The North Fork Reform Synagogue’s 16th Annual North Fork Foodie Tour is backpresenting a wide array of food producers on the North Fork, all providing behind-the-scenes tours of their farms and other establishments. The Foodie Tour continues to showcase the best of what the North Fork has to offer. There will be fun and educational activities for all ages. Participating locations include *Roanoke Lavender Farm, Goodale Farms, *Jamesport Farmstead, *Mattituck Mushroom, Browder’s Birds, Eastern Front Brewing, *Castello di Borghese Vineyard, *Disset Chocolates, Sang Lee Farms, Satur Farms, Catapano Dairy Farm, *Greenport Harbor Brewery, Treiber Farms, *North Fork Roasting Company, North Fork Flower Farm, *KK’s The Farm, Lavender by the Bay and The Naked Farm.  You can also hear speakers on a variety of topics on September 11th at Charnews Farm.

Tickets are $30 per person and children 12 and under are free. Purchase tickets online here or at Touchgoods in Southold, Mattituck Florist, Burton’s Book Store in Greenport or Green Earth Natural Foods in Riverhead.
