(mostly) TRUE THINGS is an unforgettable evening of storytelling  with these show focusing on the theme TURNABOUT at The Performing Arts Studio, 224 E Main St, Port Jefferson, NY, USA. Get ready to laugh, cry, and be captivated by real-life tales shared by talented storytellers from Long Island’s business community and New York City’s storytelling scene. (mostly) TRUE THINGS promises to entertain and inspire, leaving you with great energy, a comedy uplift, some fresh perspective and maybe even some new friends from the community.. It is show – but also a game! Three of the stories include subtle little lies. You get to question the storytellers, then vote for the person you think had no lies. There are prizes involved, (if you can believe that).

Stories by:

Jude Treder-Wolff (host) – a writer/performer who is active in the NY storytelling scene, recently featured at Joe’s Pub in Generation Women, Caveat in NYC in Funny Over 50 and RISK!, Story Collider live show and podcast, and many others. She is host/producer of Totally True Things, a series of solo long-form storytelling shows  each focusing on a different area of mental health. 

GARY ROSEN is a former college psychology adjunct and lecturer on adoption, addiction and family dynamics/issues. Currently he is owner of Synergy Brew Project, a small brewing company that focuses on collaborating with local, artists, small businesses, influencers etc. All beers are brewed exclusively at Ubergeek Brewing in Riverhead. GREGORY CAVE is a comedian and storyteller, and owner of Cave Co. Churchgoods, which provides a full range of ecclesiastic supplies. and services.

GLORIA ROSEN is the award-winning playwright/performer her autobiographical solo show Listen…Can You Hear Me Now? which centers on her life a a hearing child of 2 deaf parents. It won Best Autobiographical Script after a sold out run at United Solo Theater Festival in NYC, chosen to video stream at the First Ukraine Theatre Festival, and performed for the first online-only version of Totally True Things in 2021. She recently presented a TEDx talk in Ireland.
