The North Fork Reform Synagogue is very excited that our former Student Rabbi, Shoshana Nambi, has won The National Jewish Book Award for 2023 in the Children’s Picture Book category for The Very Best Sukkah, a Story from Uganda. Come meet Rabbi Shoshana and talk to her about her award-winning book and ask questions. Her presentation and reading of the book will be followed by a Q & A. Inaugurated in 1950, the National Jewish Book Awards is the longest-running North American awards program of its kind and is recognized as the most prestigious. The Awards are intended to recognize authors, and encourage reading, of outstanding English-language books of Jewish interest. Bring your children for a wonderful afternoon at the library.
