About
On Easter Sunday afternoon, Mattituck Astronomer George Lomaga will lead an informal discussion on the upcoming April 8 partial solar eclipse and how to view it safely from wherever you may be.
Professor Lomaga will show and explain materials he has collected from previous eclipses that he has traveled around the world to see, and he will discuss why solar eclipses are seen only once every 400 years from the same place on the Earth. Registered participants will receive a free pair of solar eclipse viewing glasses.
