Gratitude Journaling Workshop at Arni Paperie on Main Rd in Southold

Join Melissa and Melinda on August 3rd to learn how keeping a gratitude journal can lead to a healthy, positive mindset.
Melissa Hyatt is an established Northfork watercolor artist and educator. She like to begin her morning by writing in her daily gratitude journal, then adorns the page with watercolor studies. She believes we all have so much to be thankful for and it’s a perfect mindset to begin your day in.
Writing can clear your mind of intrusive thoughts and problems. Journaling about your emotions in an abstract, impersonal perspective is also calming and makes you happier, a study found.
in this workshop Melissa’s will introduce you to her favorite sketchbook, a Moleskine watercolor journal. You’ll also see her method and tools to help you start on the path to gratitude journaling.
You can purchase your own sketchbook and pens that night and enjoy 10% off at Arni Paperie!
You will combine some color with the writing using watercolor paints, don’t worry Melissa will show you how!
This 2 hour class with Melissa and Melinda includes the opportunity to purchase the sketchbook and pen for you to continue your practice at home . Feel free to bring your own sketchbook if you have one.
Watercolors will be available at the workshop for your use. Melissa will share ideas for quotes and prompts for your journal.
A glass of wine from Lieb/Bridge Lane will be included compliments of Melinda of Arni Paperie and Lieb Vineyards. Food will be available to order and purchase next door at Maroni’s! We will gather at the picnic tables behind the shop.
Melinda Morris opened Arni Paperie in 2020 to bring her lifetime love and experience with stationery, paper and graphic design to the North Fork community and being able to partner with local artists like Melissa has been a meaningful mission for the business.
All levels of experience welcome, Ages 12 and up. Registration is online and includes brushes and paints. Bring a journal or buy one at Arni that night….
