About

In our Field To Fork workshop, we invite your culinary-curious children to join our youth educators Trish & Cara for a food-based class amongst the farm fields, greenhouses, and orchard!

This workshop will start with a body and mind check-in that will set the tone for the day, bringing more joy and mindfulness into their experience on the farm and beyond! For ages 5-7, this workshop will provide the opportunity to learn about planting and caring for seedlings. Students will have a hands-on experience in planting lettuce starters to take home to enjoy for weeks to come! For ages 8-12, this workshop will provide the opportunity to learn about the Indigenous wisdom of companion planting through instruction on the Three Sisters: Squash, Corn, and Beans. Students will seed one of these in a pot to take home to enjoy for weeks to come! Both age groups will also make their very own Sang Lee Smoothie with seasonal organic fruits and vegetables from our farm to enjoy while at the workshop. We hope to inspire our students to step out of their veggie comfort zone, and recognize the magic of growing your own food!
