Join us for our fall tradition here at Little Creek.
All of our oyster-growing partners work hard all year to cull out the most beautiful oysters, with the prettiest shells in just the right shapes. But as we go along – there are some that just don’t fit. Or they get away from you and grow big and weird. Or the shell is odd. Or they are two-fers and clusters!
Well, we have to help get some room cleared in everyone’s gear for overwintering and next year’s crop.
So welcome to our second annual “Eat the Uglies” Oyster Roast! We will be steaming off bushels of oysters, inspired by our South Carolina Low-Country friends.
Not only are they extra easy to open after a little heat, but something magical happens with the oysters and brine!
HOW IT WILL WORK:
Participants will be able to belly up to the big communal tables, where buckets of hot steamed oysters will be unceremoniously dumped for (easy) shucking pleasure!
A featured beer will be available in coolers- Help yourself!
(The regular beer, wine and cocktail menu will be available a la carte)
$40 Includes All-you-can Oyster Roast and cans of beer!
-This is an outside, messy, funtime game. Dress accordingly!
-Bring your own shucking knife or borrow one of ours.
-An oyster roast is a social event. Assume strangers around a communal table. If this isn’t for you right now, we understand and hope to see you next year!
