About

Tour the inside of Bug Light, the only area lighthouse that allows visitor tours. This 2 hour cruise to Bug Light is narrated by the great-grandson of the last keeper of the lighthouse with plenty of time to explore! Each of our excursions includes the opportunity to learn about lighthouse history and lore from a guide. The narrator Bob Allen is the great-grandson of William H. Follett, a lighthouse keeper from 1912 until 1940 who was stationed at Montauk Point, Cedar Island and the Long Beach Bar “Bug” Light stations. Bob’s father, Bill, quit school at a young age to help Bob’s grandfather at Bug Light. Bob will share engaging stories and photos from his family’s experiences at these lighthouses.

Arrive at Museum 30 minutes early. Boat departs Museum at 5:00 PM. Snack Bar and Cash Bar available on board. Other longer cruises are available.
