Greenport’s Village Cinema is open during the winter once again! The Winter Film Series, curated by Manhattan Film Institute, runs every Saturday from January 11 through May 9 and showcases award-winning movies and classic cinema for kids and adults.

This week, the acclaimed film for adults is the 1979 film Breaking Away. This classic film is about a recent high school graduates trying to fulfill their friend’s dream of racing in the local university’s bicycle race – despite the fact that none of them actually go there. A coming-of-age story for the ages, this film is just as much a must see now as it was 40 years ago!

The show begins at 7:00. This showtime also includes a Student Short Film and a Post-Film discussion!
