About

Join us for an immersive workshop in the Landcraft Garden Foundation Conservatory, where you will dive into the fascinating world of botanical curation.

Dr. Jonathan M. Lehrer, PhD is a favorite amongst students at Farmingdale State College, where he serves as the chairman of the Ornamental Horticulture and Design Department, while also teaching many of the classes in the program. He is passionate about plants and teaches courses in woody landscape ornamentals and indoor plants. Dr. Lehrer is a native Long Islander and received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University followed by graduate credentials at the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Lehrer will guide you through the characteristics of begonias, orchids, and succulents, sharing insights into their evolutionary strategies and ecological roles. In addition to botanical science, this workshop will highlight how to integrate these plants into your own garden or design projects.
