The Jamesport Meeting House will host the acclaimed Borromeo
String Quartet
on Saturday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. This
award-winning quartet is admired for its fresh interpretations of classical
music and has been hailed for its “edge-of-the-seat performances,” by the Boston
Globe,
which called the Borromeo “simply the best.”

The program will feature the String Quartet No. 25 in C Major,
Op. 20, No. 2 by Franz Joseph Haydn; Three Pieces for String Quartet by Igor
Stravinsky; and String Quartet No. 14 in A-flat Major, Op. 105 by Antonín
Dvorak. The concert will be followed by a reception with the artists. The
concert is part of the Meeting House’s premier “1731 Series” that brings
internationally acclaimed musicians from the metropolitan area to Jamesport.
