Welcome Back My Friends – An Evening with Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Created by Carl Palmer and his management, the show will be presented with the full cooperation of the Estates of Keith Emerson and Greg Lake. THIS IS NOT A TRIBUTE ACT- THIS IS THE REAL THING. Through modern technology they will reunite the band: Carl with his two bandmates, playing together along with Keith Emerson & Greg Lake, who both passed away in 2016. The show combines video performance of Emerson and Lake from a legendary sold out ROYAL ALBERT HALL ELP show from 1992 with live on stage performances of Carl Palmer with his own ELP Legacy band, Paul Bielatowicz on guitar and Simon Fitzpatrick on bass and chapman stick. All the musicians play together in sync to present a complete and authentic Emerson, Lake & Palmer show.
Emerson, Lake & Palmer (informally known as ELP) was an English progressive rock supergroup formed in London in 1970. The band consisted of Keith Emerson (keyboards) of the Nice, Greg Lake of King Crimson (vocals, bass, guitar, producer), and Carl Palmer of Atomic Rooster (drums, percussion). With nine RIAA-certified gold record albums in the US and an estimated 48 million records sold worldwide, they are one of the most popular and commercially successful progressive rock groups of the 1970s, with a musical sound including adaptations of classical music with jazz and symphonic rock elements, dominated by Emerson’s flamboyant use of the Hammond organ, Moog synthesizer, and piano (although Lake wrote several acoustic songs for the group).
The band became prominent after performing at the Isle of Wight Festival in August 1970. In their first year, the group signed with E.G. Records (who distributed the band’s records through Island Records in the United Kingdom and Atlantic Records in North America) and released Emerson, Lake & Palmer (1970) and Tarkus (1971), both of which reached the UK top five. The band’s success continued with Pictures at an Exhibition (1971), Trilogy (1972), and Brain Salad Surgery (1973, released on ELP’s own Manticore Records label). After a three-year break, Emerson, Lake & Palmer released Works Volume 1 (1977) and Works Volume 2 (1977). After Love Beach (1978), the group disbanded in 1979.
The members played in various solo and partial reunion combinations during the 1980s. In 1991, the original trio re-formed and released two more albums, Black Moon (1992) and In the Hot Seat (1994), and toured between 1992 and 1998. Their final performance occurred in 2010 at the High Voltage Festival in London to commemorate the band’s 40th anniversary. Emerson and Lake died in 2016, leaving Palmer as the only surviving band member.
In 2022, Palmer and his manager developed and launched the show initially as THE RETURN OF EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER show, again with the full cooperation and involvement of both the Keith Emerson and Greg Lake estates. The show has been re-branded for 2025 as AN EVENING WITH EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER.

Riverhead – The North Fork Breast Health Coalition will celebrate breast-cancer survivors and thrivers as well as providers and caregivers at the NFBHC Annual Pink Pearl Gala. The cocktail reception, seated dinner, raffles and dancing to music by DJ Phil of Make Some Noise will be held on Friday, April 11, from 6-10 PM. For the second time, the event will be held at the Sea Star Ballroom, Hyatt Place Long Island, 431 Main Street, Riverhead.
During this year’s gala, the North Fork Breast Health Coalition will honor Simmons Point Group of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC with the NFBHC Corporate Leadership Award. With an office in Riverhead, the company is an experienced group of financial professionals at Janney Montgomery Scott LLC—one of the nation’s most prestigious investment firms.
Lisa and Anthony Sannino are also being honored at the gala with the NFBHC Community Spirit Award. They are being recognized for their commitment to supporting the East End breast cancer community, especially for generously hosting the NFBHC Stage IV summer fundraiser for the last three years at Sannino Vineyard, Cutchogue.
The Pink Pearl Underwriters of this year’s gala will be the Simmons Point Group of
Janney Montgomery Scott LLC and NFBHC Director-at-Large Connie “Losing is Not an Option” Hayes. This is the fifth consecutive year that Simmons Point has sponsored the gala at the top level. This year, Hayes moved up to the top level after last year’s second-level Pink Pearl sponsorship.
Seating for the inspiring, wear-pink, -green, and/or -teal event (colors of the tricolor ribbon for metastatic breast cancer) was available for $150 per person and $125 for breast-cancer survivors and thrivers through www.northforkbreasthealth.org. For more information, e-mail [email protected] or leave a message at the coalition office in Riverhead at 631-208-8889. To secure a sponsorship ranging from $250 for “Silver Sponsor” to $15,000 for “Pink Pearl Underwriter,” contact NFBHC President and Gala Chair Melanie McEvoy Zuhoski at the same e-mail address.
As is tradition, the Pink Pearl Gala includes a gift basket raffle, which can be previewed and raffle tickets purchased beforehand at the coalition office, 185 Old Country Road, Riverhead, April 4-6 (Friday, 4-8 PM; Saturday,10AM-4 PM; Sunday, 10 AM-2 PM) as well as during the gala. Individuals who cannot attend the gala can still participate in the raffle, which benefits the NFBHC Keri Lynn Stromski Stage IV Breast Cancer Research and Support Fund. For information about contributing to a gift basket, e-mail the coalition or call Raffle Chair BeeJay Ferucci at 631-807-3479.
