Spring has arrived, and with it comes the annual tradition of Easter egg hunts. From classic colored egg hunts to more unique scavenges, there are plenty of opportunities for children of all ages (and adults!) to participate.

Here’s a list of egg hunt happenings on the North Fork this spring:

Disset Chocolate, Cutchogue

From Saturday, April 1 through Sunday, April 9, Disset Chocolate will be hosting the third annual North Fork Chocolate Egg Scavenger Hunt. Starting on April 1, the chocolate company will hide four unique chocolate sculptures around the North Fork, each themed to fit its secret location.

How to play: Find and take a photo with each of the four sculptures and post it to Instagram (participating accounts must be public). Tag @dissetchocolate as well as the handle of the location of where it was found. Participants must also use the hashtag #17chocolateEggHunt. Individuals who post photos of all four sculptures will be entered for a chance to win one of them. Disset Chocolate will announce four winners with one grand prize winner on Tuesday, April 11 on Instagram.

Stotzky Park, Riverhead

The Town of Riverhead’s Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, March 31 at 6 p.m. The event is geared towards children aged 12 and under with two fields; one for younger egg hunters who need adult assistance and another for older children to hunt on their own. In addition to an egg hunt, there will be photo opportunities with the Easter bunny.

Stotzky Park is located at 55 Columbus Avenue in Riverhead.

Mattituck Laurel Historical Society, Mattituck

Join the Mattituck Laurel Historical Society on Saturday, April 1 for its second annual spring event. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., children of all ages can participate in egg hunts to win prizes. The egg hunts will be divided into age groups, starting with children under five at 10:30 a.m., followed by ages five through eight years old at 10:50 a.m. and ages nine through eleven years old at 11:10 a.m. Visitors can also capture a photo with the Easter bunny, tour the main museum, and enjoy light snacks and refreshments at the Mattituck Laurel Historical Society’s bake sale.

The Mattituck Laurel Historical Society is located at 18300 Main Road in Mattituck.

Clovis Point Vineyards, Laurel

This Easter, adults can join in on the egg hunt fun at Clovis Point Vineyard’s “grown up” hunt. On Saturday, April 8 at 2 p.m., the vineyard will be hiding corks around the property, giving prizes away to those who find them. The lucky player that uncovers the vineyard’s Willy Wonka-esque golden cork will receive a mixed case of wines. The event is free and those interested can email @infoclovispointwines to make a reservation.

Clovis Point Vineyards is located at 1935 NY-25 in Laurel.

The Big Duck Ranch, Flanders

Celebrate spring with the 10th Annual Easter Duck Egg Hunt at Big Duck Ranch in Flanders. This free event will take place on Saturday, April 1 at noon. Egg hunters will search the grassy fields behind The Big Duck for plastic “duck eggs” and have the chance to find a special egg that wins them a prize basket. BYOB (bring your own basket).

Cars should enter at Otter Hole Neck Road and park at the back of the field. If it rains, the event will be on April 2. For more information, call 631-284-3737, email [email protected], or visit Friends of The Big Duck on Facebook.

1760 Homestead, Riverhead

Children can hunt for eggs at 1760 Homestead’s Spring Kick Off on Sunday, April 8. The event will take place at 11am. Tickets are $10 per child.

Orient Beach State Park, Orient

Orient Beach State Park is hosting its annual Spring Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 1 at 11 a.m. Children up to the age of 12 are invited to search the park grounds for colorful eggs filled with surprises. After the egg hunt, families can meet and take pictures with the Spring Bunny.

Bakewicz Farms, Wading River

On Saturday, April 1, at 1:30 p.m. Bakewicz Farms will hold its own Easter egg hunt. The farm features a playground and barnyard for the kids and a bar made from an old-fashion farm silo for adults. Starting at 12:30 p.m., The Silo will be serving local craft beverages to guests ages 21 and up. Tickets will be sold at the door, but RSVPs are encouraged.

Mattituck Park District and Mattituck Chamber of Commerce, Mattituck

On Sunday, April 2 at 2 p.m. sharp, the Mattituck Park District and Mattituck Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Veterans Memorial Park. Children of all ages are welcome to participate for the chance to win prizes donated by a variety of local businesses in Mattituck. Rain date is April 8th at 2 p.m. sharp.

Veterans Memorial Park is located at 11280 Peconic Bay Blvd in Mattituck.
