At GDC Roller Skate Rink in Greenport, Wednesday nights are for the adults. At 5 p.m., the overhead lights go down, a funky pop playlist comes on, and the disco ball starts turning.
The rink, located at the Greenport American Legion, was completely refurbished in 2018. In addition to hosting a 7,000 sq. ft roller skate rink, the space is complete with a skate shop and Potter’s Cafe, a concession stand that serves pizza, popcorn, soft pretzels, candy and more. Everything on the menu is under four dollars, making it an affordable date night option.
Admission is $10 for the night and includes skate rentals. Premium skates in an assortment of vibrant colors are also available for rent for an additional $15.

GDC Roller Rink is located at 102 3rd St. in Greenport. It’s open on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (21+), and Fridays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The rink is closed to the general public on Saturdays but is open for private parties and other special events.
