Pumpkin season is upon us, and on the North Fork, it’s not just pumpkin spice lattes.

Don’t get us wrong — there are plenty of those, too! But with an abundance of pumpkins at local farms, you’ll find pumpkin in every form, from baked goods to boozy treats. From Riverhead to Orient, these pumpkin delights are sure to satisfy your autumnal palate. 

PUMPKIN MUFFIN from Hampton Coffee Company, Aquebogue

This warm, fresh-out-of-the-oven treat is the perfect start to a fall morning and pairs well with Hampton Coffee Co.’s Pumpkin Pie roast coffee. $3.75

DIRTY PUMPKIN from North Fork Roasting Company, Southold

This warm fall beverage consists of pumpkin puree, a house-made chai latte, and a shot of espresso. $5.50

PUMPKIN BUTTER from Hallock’s Cider Mill, Laurel

Pumpkin butter is a perfectly sweet addition to a slice of nice local bread, and Hallock’s Cider Mill’s butter, made with local pumpkins, is a delectable treat. $9.95.

PUMPKIN ICE CREAM from Magic Fountain Ice Cream, Mattituck

This popular seasonal flavor starts with a plain base and contains pumpkin puree, cinnamon, molasses, and nutmeg. Price varies. 

LEAF PILE ALE from Greenport Harbor Brewing Co., Peconic, and Greenport

The annual Leaf Pile Ale has a copper color and a nose of warm malts and fall spices. It’s brewed with light and medium crystal malts, with a dash of hops, freshly crushed cinnamon, allspice, and ginger. $11.49.

PUMPKIN PIE from Orient Country Store, Orient

Head to Orient for this delectable confection, made by owner Miriam Foster. The pumpkin pie has a buttery crust and a filling made with pumpkin puree, cinnamon, brown sugar, and nutmeg. $39
