Whether you’re a licensed boat captain, a bayman or someone who’s decorating a beach home, Preston’s two shops on the dock in Greenport have everything you need. 

Preston’s features a marine supply shop with clothing and gear as well as a “gallery” shop featuring home decor and gifts. It was founded in the 1800s by a Boston captain named Samuel Truman Preston. The shop was later purchased by the Fagan family, who still run it today.

3. Buoy bell with wind catcher, $53.95 These metal bells and wind catchers are made in Round Pond, Maine. Preston’s has a variety of colors of the bells with assorted hanging wind catchers.

4. Holiday cards, $9.95/pack

Make your love of the water known with these whimsical holiday cards. The designs vary, but some favorites include beach chairs and umbrellas decorated with holiday wreaths.

5. Laser-cut chart of the North Fork, $328.00 These charts, made from Baltic birch, are laser cut and etched with local bodies of water and major highways. This piece showcases the North Fork, Long Island Sound and local bays while also marking water depths.

6. Assorted apparel Preston’s marine has everything from boat shoes to wellies to fishing waders. Beyond the practical supplies, they also sell the softest sweatshirts ($40+) for when a cool breeze rolls into town.
