The iconic annual sunflower bloom has returned to Pindar Vineyards in Peconic.

The sea of golden yellow blooms sits beside the tasting room, overlooking their sprawling vineyards planted with more than 300 acres of grapes.

The Damianos family has been planting the sunflowers at the property for over 30 years as a tribute to their father and vineyard founder, Herodotus Damianos, who died in 2014.

A nod to the summer flowers can be found throughout the tasting room, from sunflower wine glasses hand painted by a local artist to a special sunflower reserve chardonnay released in honor of the bloom each year.

Visitors can enjoy a glass of wine in the sunflower field, get the perfect Instagram shot and even pick their own flowers for $2 per stem.

The sunflowers are expected to bloom into early August.
