OYSTER HAPPY HOUR AT THE SHOALS

Every Wednesday from 4-7 p.m., starting on June 1 and continuing throughout the summer months, Little Ram Oyster Company will host a delectable oyster happy hour at Southold’s newest waterfront hotel, The Shoals. Parked in the grassy lawn, between the hotel and Little Ram’s newly debuted oyster building on the property sits The Shoals Food Truck serving an array of summer classics including Little Ram Oysters, lobster rolls, and soft-serve ice cream, alongside a wide variety of grab & go meals like salads, bento boxes, and grain bowls. Each Wednesday evening, Little Ram Oyster Company will flip the Food Truck into a ’Shuck Truck’ for those looking for a mid-week pick-me-up. Open to the general public as well as those staying at the hotel, guests can expect $2.50 Little Ram Oysters, caviar, drink pairings and music.

LISTEN TO REGGAE ON THE BEACH

On Saturday, June 4, head to Veterans Beach in Mattituck for a night of reggae by Winston Irie & Selective Security as a part of the Mattituck Park District’s Summer Concert Series. The evening event will run from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and there will be local food and beverages avail­able to purchase. More info at mattituckparkdistrict.org.

DRINK PINK

Celebrate National Rose Day at Bridge Lane on Saturday, June 11 from noon to 4 p.m. The day will include live music by Bryce Larsen, rosé cocktails, flower crowns by Hometown Flower C., lunch and dessert items by The Treatery camper, and boozy sorbets from Tipsy Scoop. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased in advance here

WATCH FIREWORKS AT THE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL

We don’t know about you, but for us, fireworks scream sum­mer. After taking a spin on the amusement rides, shopping the craft vendors, and eating more strawberry shortcakes than you’d like to admit, look to the sky to enjoy fireworks shows on both Friday, June 17 at 10 p.m. and Saturday, June 18 at 10:15 p.m. For tickets and details, visit mattituckstrawberryfestival.org.

CREATE ABSTRACT ART WITH LOCAL ARTIST VERONA PENALBA

Dive into a creative flow with local artist Verona Peñalba at one of her alcohol ink workshops hosted at the Soundview Hotel in Greenport. There you’ll experiment with alcohol inks to create abstract art centered on the power of being in the moment. Workshops are offered on Thursdays, June 9, 16, and 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $55 per person and can be purchased here.

EAT AND DRINK YOUR WAY THROUGH THE NORTH FORK ALL IN ONE PLACE

Rotary Uncorked is your one-stop spot if you’re looking to experi­ence bites and sips from some of the best North Fork restaurants and wineries. Held at RG|NY on Thursday, June 16, this event will be $125 per person. Info and tick­ets at riverheadrotary.org.

TOUR AN OYSTER FARM AND LEARN TO SHUCK

Take a delicious tour on Sunday, June 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. Southold Bay Oysters will invite tour partici­pants to their oyster farm to learn the process of farming local oysters and will conclude with an oyster shuck­ing lesson and tasting experience. Tickets cost $75 per person and must be purchased in advance here.

CELEBRATE PRIDE MONTH AT THE WINERIES

June is Pride Month, and two North Fork wineries are hosting events you won’t want to miss. On Wednesday, June 1 from 6 to 9 p.m., RG|NY is having a fundraiser called Pride Blooms where they’ll be celebrating the unveiling of a floral installation by Hometown Flower Co. 100% of profits will be donated to LGBTQ+ supportive organizations. Attendees will enjoy DIY flower crowns, photo sessions, wine and bites, sweets, music and more. Tickets are $97.76 per person. Terra Vite is also celebrating Pride with a Sunday Funday Festival on Sunday, June 12 from 1 to 6 p.m. This adult-only party will include wine, lite bites, music, yoga classes, makeup sessions, lawn game tournaments and more. Tickets are $85 per person.  

WATCH THE DOGS DOCK DIVE

The Annual North Fork Dog Dock Diving event is back at Greenport Harbor Brewery in Peconic on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. This family-friendly event includes dogs competing in a long jump, high jump and speed retrieve. Of course, there will be plenty of craft beer, food and live music. Tickets are $15 per person and free for kids under 12. For tickets visit greenportbrew.com

HANG AT A BEACH CLUB

Duryea’s Orient Point is launching its new Beach Club on Saturday, June 25. Offering views of Gardiners Bay, the club will feature a rotating set of DJs spinning world beats every weekend, as well as Mediterranean cuisine created by chef Phillippe Corbet. The beach club will be open Friday through Sunday from noon until 8 p.m. Reservations are suggested and will be available on Resy.
