What started as a way to brighten up the long, uncertain days of the pandemic has blossomed into a growing business for Kim Barnes. Her roadside flower stand, Backyard Blooms, has grown in popularity and she’s eager for another season in the garden.

Pale, creamy yellow daffodils, unique pink Brisbane tulips and ruffled burgundy ranunculus are bountiful this time of year. The flower stand is located at 310 Flanders Road in Flanders and is open weekends from April to October.
