Bill Bianchi has spent the majority of his 90 years focused on growing orchids. He’s been growing the beautiful tropical plants at his greenhouses in Riverhead for decades. Now, he’s experimenting with hemp and hopes to ultimately grow marijuana.
Though the greenhouses aren’t open to the public, nearly 50,000 orchids are growing there at any given time and are distributed to many local retailers and interior designers across the East End.
