Spring means the return of farm stand season and we couldn’t be more excited for local produce, and flowers, and cheese, oh my! While many farm stands open a bit later in the season as crops begin to pop up, here is a roundup of some that have already reopened their doors this spring.

1760 Homestead Farm is open Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

For flowers, herbs, eggs, produce, local provisions, sweet treats, and Greek specialties head to 1760 Homestead Farm. This recently renovated farm stand is as inviting and cute as it gets! Their signature Concord grape pie is a must-have item.

Sep’s Farm is open Thursday – Monday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

This East Marion farm stand is not only open but had even braved the winter chill reopening in mid-February. The fourth-generation farm stand is stocked with locally made products and provisions in addition to the farm’s own preservatives, homemade soups, and more. As far as produce goes, this week you’ll find freshly picked baby lettuce, beets, radishes, and parsley.

Catapano Dairy Farm is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Award-winning goat cheese is back at this farm’s first season under new ownership. Swing by the Peconic farm stand shop for goat cheese, yogurt, soap, cream, and more, and don’t forget to visit the kids while you’re there. Insider’s tip for the yogis out there: the farm is offering baby goat yoga on Saturdays at 1 p.m. Email [email protected] for more details and to reserve your spot.

Goodale Farms is open

While we’re not even sure if this farm stand closed for the winter (thank you, contactless pick up at the farm stand), we’re glad to visit with the baby kid goats and pick up delicious produce and products including milk, butter, yogurt, cheese, and ice cream. Their self-serve farm stand also stocks meat, handmade pierogies, and breads.

KK’s the Farm is open Thursday – Saturday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Although this biodynamic farm may have spoiled us by opening their farm stand shop on many winter weekends, the farm stand is now officially open for the season. Shop greenhouse-grown mustard greens, Swiss chard, kale, lettuce, spinach, and more. And be sure to get on the farm’s weekly email list for the most up-to-date list of available produce – email [email protected], you won’t regret it!
