The North Fork is known for many things — delicious wine, great food spots, bountiful farms. But over the last few years, the region has become a destination for sunflower viewings. From long winding mazes to vast fields, people flock to different spots on the North Fork to see the bright yellow blooms. Here’s all the sunflower fields you can check out in the area.
This attraction — run by Sidor Farms, the people behind North Fork Potato Chips — has been hugely popular since it first cropped up in 2018. The 2021 maze opens Friday, July 16 and will be open seven days a week. Tickets cost $8 per person (children under 10 years old are free) and include an all-day wristband if you want to leave and return to see the sunset from the fields. Operations are dependent on weather, so check the farm’s website or Instagram feed @northforksunflowermaze for daily updates.
