The acclaimed North Fork Table and Inn, which was expected to open this spring under new ownership, will take its first step to returning when it opens its food truck Friday.

The North Fork Food Truck, which for the past several years has offered a casual alternative to the highly rated restaurant, will be open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

“The new food truck celebrates summer, and includes a variety of vegetable forward dishes that will change daily based on locally available ingredients, as well as updated classics,” the restaurant said in a press release.

Some of the menu options will include a lobster roll with cucumber, confit fennel and celery salt; a tuna tartare roll with butter lettuce and sprouts; an all-beef hot dog with relish, kewpie mayo and crispy shallots; and a smashburger. They are also offering vegetarian and vegan options like a Beyond Burger and a fully vegan Caesar salad.

The truck will remain located in the garden on the North Fork Table and Inn property and offers ordering in two ways. The first is in person at the food truck, and the second is online via their website

The main restaurant remains is still being renovated and will open at a later date.

“We’re still in the process of restoring the restaurant, which is planned to open later this summer,” said public relations representative Genevieve Hassall. “We’re very excited for this new chapter of North Fork Table and Inn and can’t wait to welcome the community back.”
