Katie Sepenoski with her son Micheal at Sep's Farm retail location in East Marion, which they hope to open up soon.

Each week, we will be spotlighting a different farm stand on the North Fork as more open up. Sep’s Farm is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, with the hope of opening on Sundays as well through May. As more of the harvest becomes available, the hours will expand through June. Follow them on Facebook for updates. Currently they are open for grocery pick-up for orders placed on Wednesday, and they have a drive up service for retail items.

Name: Sep’s Farm

History: The Brown family owned the farmland where Sep’s Farm is with the original barn now acting as retail inventory and office space. Sep’s was opened up in the 1970s as a wholesale vegetable operation and roadside wagon. In the 1990s, a greenhouse and garden center were added with geraniums, pansies and annuals. Now, they have two farm stand locations — one in East Marion and the other on Shelter Island. They also wholesale to local grocery stores. Four generations of Sepenoski farmers have lived and worked on the farm in its current location.

What they are offering: Greens, grass-fed beef, oysters, eggs, jarred pickled items and homemade preserves.

What they will offer: Sugar snap peas, broccoli, lettuces, rhubarb, radishes, raspberries, eggplant, peppers, sweet corn, watermelon, tomatoes and more!
