Each week, we will be spotlighting a different farm stand on the North Fork as more open up. Bayview Market and Farms, with locations in Aquebogue and Jamesport is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Their Aquebogue location, called Sound Shore Farms and Market, will open on Friday.

Name: Bayview Market and Farms

History: Built by Bradford and Lorraine Reeve in 2000, the Bayview Market location in Aquebogue is on property farmed by six generations of Reeve family members for over 200 years. The original farmer, Orry Reeve, used to float horses and wagons across the Peconic Bay to hotels in Southampton to get them produce.

What they are offering: Asparagus, spinach, leeks, herb plants, hanging baskets, vegetable plants and more. They also carry duck from their neighbors at Crescent Duck Farm.

What they will offer: U-pick strawberries in June, sweet corn, beefsteak tomatoes, giant cauliflower in the fall, eggplants, blueberries, zucchini, onions, peppers, potatoes, herbs, lettuce, Brussels sprouts and more.
