With restaurants and bars closed for service, many places have been forced to lose touch with their communities. When there is no bar to sit at and no locals to chat up, life can get, well, a little boring.

Lucky for us, the Halyard is bringing a little bit of them into our homes. For the next two weekends, they will be going live on Instagram for virtual classes hosted by executive chef Stephan Bogardus and general manager Derick Erwee.

The cooking classes will feature techniques on how to make a French-style omelette and everything you need to know about vinaigrettes and salads. The cocktail classes will focus on gin and shrubs and tonics. Each class will be about 10 to 15 minutes long and will include a question and answer section. All the details on the schedule are below.

Saturday, March 21, 4 p.m. – Cocktail Class: Gin & Shrubs

Sunday, March 22, 4 p.m. – Cooking Class: French Style Organic Omelette with Ira’s Biodynamic Greens (from KK’s the Farm)

Saturday, March 28, 4 p.m. – Cocktail Class: Tonics

Sunday, March 29, 4 p.m. – Cooking Class: Vinaigrettes and Salads
