With the end of the decade quickly approaching, we find ourselves thinking about where and how we want to spend its final hours.

Luckily, the North Fork has big plans to ring in the new year with many parties to choose from.

Here are six great New Year’s Eve events happening across the North Fork.

Chef Matty Boudreau’s incredible barbecue at Green Hill Kitchen is not to be missed. If you’re looking to dance the night away make The Halyard your New Year’s Eve destination. Enjoy the restaurant’s a la carte menu with specials such as truffles, caviar, foie gras and specialty champagnes and wines. A DJ will be spinning music beginning at 8 p.m. and switching over to a full-on dance party around 9:30 p.m to 12:30 a.m. There will be a complimentary sparkling wine toast and countdown to midnight and TVs will screen the Times Square ball drop. Laugh, dine, and dance at The Suffolk Theater this New Year’s Eve with a great lineup of world-class comedians, food by chef Noah Schwartz and music by DJ Phil. There will be a complimentary champagne toast and a live broadcast of the Times Square ball drop on the venue’s giant full-stage projection screen. If you haven’t yet checked out The Merchant’s Wife located in the newly opened The Menhaden there’s no better time than New Year’s Eve. At 8 p.m. the restaurant will be hosting a special dinner, which includes passed canapés and a four-course dinner with wine pairings from Lieb Cellars. If you’re looking for a family-friendly way to celebrate the new year look no further than the Long Island Aquarium’s Fishes & Wishes New Year’s Eve celebration. From 6:30 to 11 p.m. enjoy cocktail hour, buffet dinner including beer and wine, penguin meet and greet, DJ and dancing, dessert and ice cream bar, crafts and a mock midnight toast.
