Peconic Escargot has made a lot of news since it was established five years ago, becoming the East Coast’s only snail farm.

Perhaps the coolest of all is when CBS Sunday Morning correspondent Mo Rocca recently paid the Cutchogue ranch a visit.

The segment, dubbed “Snails, the Original Slow Food,” ran on the magazine show this past Sunday.

Get a look inside the operation, which has grown to over 50,000 snails, by visiting the show’s website.
