Craft’d, a new cocktail bar, held it soft opening last week in downtown Riverhead.

Here’s what you need to know:

Name: Craft’d
Style: Bar and grill
Owners: Sean Kenna and Robert Manolio, the duo behind the nearby Cucina 25, which opened in 2017.

What to expect: The 48-seat bar is focused on “beers, bites and cocktails,” as its sign boasts. The owners got their start making drinks and managing bars, so they’ve created an interesting cocktail menu. “We always had aspirations of opening a bar with craft cocktails,” Kenna told us in April.

What to drink: Cocktails are definitely the focus here and it should be a solid option for a pop-in before or after an event in downtown Riverhead. The cocktail menu boasts a dozen options. We’ll recommend the Smoky Waters with Mezcal, Cointreau, pomegranate and lime.

What’s on the menu: The food options are limited in the early going, but there are a handful of salad, sandwich and quesadilla options, including four different chicken paninis.

Where you can find it: Craft’d is in the former Vines and Hops space opposite the Suffolk Theater at 127 East Main Street. The restaurant can be followed on Facebook @Craft’d.
