“Saturday Night Live” has long made us laugh with its pre-record commercial spoofs like “Oops! I Crapped My Pants” or “Mom Jeans,”  but it’s a rare treat to see a live advertising sketch that hits close to home.

On Saturday, the show delivered on that front with its “Apple Picking Ad” highlighting fall fun “located in the part of New York State that has confederate flags.” While it’s not explicitly the North Fork highlighted in the sketch, there’s enough there to suggest this area (along with upstate New York) was the apple of their eye.

“For just $45 you can bring home $10 worth of apples,” promises the spot, which features Long Island native Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, guest host Woody Harrelson and others from the cast.

While the bit might have too much bite for some (apple picking happens to be pretty fun and delicious), we at northforker would be lying if we didn’t admit it made us laugh harder than anything we’ve seen on the show in quite some time. You might even say we loved it to the core.
