It was a foodie’s delight. The two-day Famous Food Festival, presented by King O’Rourke Automotive Group of Smithtown at Tanger Outlet Center in Riverhead, featured more than 50 food vendors, craft beer and a wine garden, plus chef demonstrations and free samples.

The “Taste the World” event featured vendors such as Cousin’s Maine Lobster, Sam’s Fried Ice Cream and gourmet grilled cheese from MELTology in Mount Sinai.

The popular food truck showcase is hosted annually at the Deer Park Tanger Outlets, and made its way to Riverhead for the first time over the weekend. The family friendly event also included a virtual reality gaming area, rock wall and butterfly exhibit. Other highlights include aerial trapeze yoga and an art tent.
