Live Bossa Nova Band Samba Novo performs during Sparkling Pointe’s 10th Annual Brazilian Carnaval.

The North Fork got a taste of Rio de Janeiro at Sparkling Pointe Saturday with Carnaval, a mid-July tradition at the Southold winery.

The Samba Novo Band, dancers and musicians provided the day’s entertainment. This year’s celebration coincided with the release of Cuvée Carnaval Rouge, a sparkling red wine.
