June has arrived, marking the start of strawberry season on the North Fork. The U-pick offerings at local farms should last through the end of the month. Check out these five places to pick your own while they last.
Garden of Eve Organic Farm and Market

Admission is $5. Half pints are $4 and pints are $6.
Patty’s Berries and Bunches
408 Sound Ave., Mattituck
9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.
The entry fee is $7 per person and includes one quart of fruit.
812 Sound Ave., Wading River
U-pick fields are generally open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but the farm recommends calling in advance to confirm hours of operation. Lewin is closed Tuesday. $3 per pound. Cash only; ATM on premises.
Sound Shore Market
Sound Ave. and Manor Lane, Riverhead
Open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Priced at $3.99 per pound.
Wickham’s Fruit Farm
28700 Main Road, Cutchogue
Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Sunday).
Pricing is $7 a quart. If you would like to pick your own strawberries on a weekday, please call ahead.
Windy Acres Farm

Open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. $5 per quart or 4 quarts for $18.
