St. Patrick’s Day is nearing and there are plenty of parades on the North Fork — and the rest of Long Island — to get you in the spirit.
Here’s a list of events celebrating Ireland’s patron saint on the East End and beyond.
Cutchogue
The North Fork Chamber of Commerce will host its 15th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m.. The route starts at the traffic light at Cox Lane, goes down Route 25 and ends in Cutchogue village. Visit cutchoguefiredepartment.org for more information.
Jamesport
The East End Emerald Society kicks off its 6th annual Jamesport St. Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m. The parade starts at the intersection of Washington and North Railroad Avenue in Jamesport and travels north to Jamesport Fire Department’s Manor Road headquarters. The parade will go on rain or shine.
Westhampton Beach
The Westhampton Beach Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is returning for its 52nd year on Saturday, March 9 at noon. This year’s theme is “Dog Days of Summer.” The parade begins at Westhampton Beach Elementary School on Mill Road and continues south toward Main Street. Once there, it will turn west before finishing on the corner of Main Street and Sunset Avenue. For more information, visit whbstpats.com.
Miller Place-Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The Friends of St. Patrick is hosting its 69th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade on Sunday, March 17 at 1 p.m. The three-mile long parade starts in Miller Place on the corner of Route 25A and Harrison and ends at Broadway and North Country Road in Rocky Point. Hampton Bays
The 15th annual Hampton Bays parade will be Saturday, March 23 at 11 a.m. It runs from the Hampton Bays Middle School on Ponquogue Avenue to the Hampton Medical Atrium on Montauk Highway. For more information, visit the Hampton Bays Hibernians at hbaohdivision11.com.
Patchogue
The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce will present its “May The Road Rise to Meet Ye” 5K run/walk immediately followed by the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 17. The runners will line up at Route 112 and Main Street and take off at 11:55 a.m. The parade follows them west along Main Street to West Avenue. Get more information at patchogue.com
Center Moriches
Enjoy pipe bands and cheer on the Irish Princess as Main Street goes green for the 17th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The fun begins Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m. The Parade starts at Main Street and Lake Avenue and continues east on Main Street to Ocean Avenue. Montauk
The 57th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will kick off from Edgemere Road at noon on Sunday, March 24. It continues up Edgemere Road then turns on to Main Street, finishing near the IGA. Come early to get a good vantage point at New York’s second largest St. Patrick’s Day parade. The Montauk Chamber of Commerce will be serving hot soup in souvenir mugs starting at 10 a.m. on the green. New York City
The world’s largest — and oldest —St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held Saturday, March 16. It can be viewed along 5th Avenue between 44th Street and 79th Street from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Get more info at nycstpatricksparade.org
