Sharing a good meal with your significant other is always a romantic gesture. And when the restaurant you choose has delectable fare and intimate ambience, it is recipe for an unforgettable Valentine’s Day.

The Hamptons offers great options. These five restaurants are serving up special dishes to mark the occasion.

Claude’s

At Southampton Inn’s restaurant, Claude’s, local seasonal fare is on full display. For Valentine’s Day, there’s a three-course $30 prix fixe menu featuring main courses such as seared scallops with mushroom risotto and truffle sauce, and hanger steak. Oysters on the half shell with minuet sauce and balsamic pearls, and lobster basil ravioli are the appetizer selections. And red velvet cake with raspberry is being served for dessert.

Inn Spot on the Bay

This waterfront restaurant sets the stage for a romantic meal. It is offering a seven-course chocolate dinner, though only the last course is sweet. The menu features dishes like beef with mole sauce, house made chocolate pasta, chocolate shrimp fried rice and more for $55 per person. A wine pairing will be offered for an additional $30. This prix fixe menu will be served on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, Feb. 14 as well as Friday and Saturday.

The 1770 House

Chef Michael Rozzi is pulling out all the stops to make this Valentine’s Day a memorable one. Rozzi, who likes his tasting menus to “build like a crescendo,” will start with small bites and lighter flavors that gradually grow into big full flavors and multi-layer dishes. The four-course $85 dinner per person has a wine pairing featuring selections from the restaurant’s 250-bottle Wine Spectator awarded list. For those who like a champagne toast, they are one of the few restaurants to serve NV Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve by the glass and at $22.

Almond Restaurant and Bar

Treat your SO to a locally sourced, four-course blood orange themed menu in honor of Valentine’s Day. Almond is serving up this special menu that features apps such as Peconic Bay scallop crudo with blood orange agrodolce; entrees such as blood orange lacquered Long Island duck; and chocolate and blood oranges for desserts. The regular a la carte menu is also available. The blood orange pairing is $85 per person.

Fresno Restaurant in East Hampton is celebrating Valentine’s Day with $1 oysters and discounted champagne by the glass. The contemporary American eatery tucked away off Main Street is also serving a la carte specials in addition to its regular menu.
