The North Fork is one of the most beautiful places around when it comes to photographing the outdoors and sharing it with the outside world. That’s one of the biggest reasons our Instagram account @the_northforker has grown to more than 18,000 followers the past several years.

We’ve enjoyed engaging with all of our followers on there, providing an escape from the mundane each and every day.

We’ve also enjoyed seeing the photos you take on your travels around the North Fork and are happy to see the hashtag #northforker grow to more than 43,000 posts.

Keep taking those photos everyone to remind others of what a special place the North Fork truly is. Here are our 10 most-liked Northforker posts from the year that was, counting down from No. 10 to No. 1.

Our Michael Vee took this shot off a snowy farm field on Sound Avenue.
67 Steps Beach in Greenport, captured here by our Krysten Massa, is a popular Instagram spot.
Who doesn’t love a good Magic Fountain cone? Krysten Massa showed that she sure does.
Newsier posts also tend to play well on our Instagram account, like this one by our Cyndi Zaweski from the opening of Eastern Front Brewing in Mattituck.
This Chris Hamilton @northforkfisherman shot from New Suffolk was the only user-generated photo to crack the list in 2018.
There’s no view quite like the Sound View and Michael Vee proved it from up above.
The super blood moon over Breakwater Beach in Mattituck, captured by intern Lucas Kozmynka.
Briermere Farms is always extra crowded on the day before Thanksgiving. Krysten Massa saw hoe many more people enjoy the pie shop after posting this photo.
Our Grant Parpan captured this moment on Main Road in Southold.
What a sign. What a view. Perfection from Michael Vee.
