Comfort food gives us good reason to embrace that winter-like chill in the air. In the Hamptons, there are plenty soul-warming dishes to keep you satisfied until spring. Here are some of our favorite foods to warm up with when on the South Fork.

It doesn’t get more comforting than a hearty home cooked meal. When you’re in the mood for a dish that tastes even better than mom’s, hunker down at The Springs Tavern. The gastro pub is currently serving a grilled center-cut pork shop served with whipped mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy and roasted root vegetables.

This beloved gastronomic destination has a few cozy dishes you’ll be sure to love. The pulled pork grilled cheese made with cheddar, horseradish and an apple ginger jam is a spectacular choice when visiting the Sag Harbor location. When you’re at the Amagansett outpost, sink your fork in to the wood-oven macaroni and cheese with toasted breadcrumbs and roasted garlic.

There are so many great choices at this French-American bistro that it’s hard to take a wrong turn — even the escargot can be considered a comfort food at this restaurant. The Le Grand Mac & Cheese with prosciutto and truffles is a customer favorite — you’ll understand why after the first bite. The steak frites — marinated hanger steak with a bordelaise sauce — is another irresistible option.
