Columbus Day weekend in the Hamptons will be a busy one. There are plenty of activities — including the Hamptons International Film Festival — that everyone in the family will love, including your furry companions.

Stroll to the Sea Dog Walk

On Saturday, Oct. 6, commencing at Mulford Farm in East Hampton, The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons will host its annual Stroll to the Sea Dog Walk. It is a fun family event that promotes responsible dog ownership and awareness. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. It is two-miles to the ocean and back to help the animals at the ARF Adoption Center. Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 7, with an 8 a.m. registration and 9 a.m. walk. Pre-registration $30; day of the event is $40.

Rowdy Hall Oktoberfest

Friday, Oct. 5 through Sunday, Oct. 7, Rowdy Hall celebrates Oktoberfest with picnic tables in the courtyard and communal tables in the dining room. On the menu are German snacks such as fresh baked jumbo pretzels and bratwurst with mustard as well as beer pint and half pint specials. An Oktoberfest tasting flight will also be available.

Bowls of Plenty Benefit

The annual Water Mill Museum luncheon benefit sponsored by the Clay Art Guild of the Hamptons will feature more than 100 handmade bowls to fill with homemade soup. There’s also quilt raffle. Admission to the Saturday, Oct. 6 event is $25. The Water Mill Museum will close for the season on Monday, Oct. 8 at 5 p.m.

Harvest Day Fair

Southampton History Museum is hosting its annual Harvest Day Fair with a variety of educational activities that take attendees back to the 19thcentury in Southampton. Be sure to visit the bake sale and take home some delicious homemade goodies. Admission to the museum is $5 and is free for children and members, for a self-guided tour. The event is Saturday, Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Long Pond Greenbelt 20th annual Free Family Celebration

Bring the whole family for a free morning exploration of the Long Pond Greenbelt. Guests will enjoy guided trail walks, games, crafts and a wide variety of activities led by local environmental and community organizations. Complimentary refreshments and ice cream will be served.
